The EMPRESS of CHINA - A must-see for anyone studying hair, wardrobe and production design.

I’ve just discovered a spectacular Chinese TV show “The EMPRESS of CHINA”. (If I’m behind on this discovery please forgive). The production design, wardrobe and hair is spectacular on this show and is the dream of every hair/wardrobe designer. In terms of hair pieces and royalty crowns I’ve never seen anything that compares to the scale, beauty and depth of creativity in this TV series. The actors in costume are living moving works of art. It is based on the life of Wu Zetian, the only female emperor of China, She came to power during the Tang Dynasty. The show’s creators bring historical hair designs to the screen with a modern twist that ends in spectacular. I discovered this show through Pinterest when I stumbled upon a collection of magnificent hair designs a Pinterest user had collected. And thus far, I’ve only found English subtitled shows on Youtube that someone recorded from their TV screen (the flare in the center of the screen makes it look milky).
